There are many sightseeing tours available whether on land, in the air or on the water. Of course, many people visit for the over 200 wineries in this region.

Not only is the city known for its natural heritage, it’s also rich in built heritage. People like to visit the Gold Coast Historic District neighborhood which is on the National Register of Historic Places. The homes in this neighborhood were designed and pre-fabricated by the government in 1943 to house the workers for the Hanford Nuclear site.
